Andrew Cohen, DMD A native of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, Dr. Andrew Cohen graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in psychology. Dr. Cohen received his DMD degree at the Temple University School of Dentistry in 1998. The following year, he completed an advanced education General Practice Dental Residency Program at Abington Memorial Hospital. In 1999, he joined Dr. William Isaacs in private dental practice in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.Dr. Cohen is passionate about and committed to the teaching of dental medicine. He was appointed a faculty position at Spear Education, where he mentors dentists from around the world. He is a contributing author for Spear Digest, an online dental education journal, and is a content moderator for the online dental forum “Spear Talk.” Previously, he served as a clinical instructor at the Temple University School of Dentistry from 1999-2002. He was asked to join the Medical, Surgical and Dental Staff at Abington Memorial Hospital in 2000. A teaching position as a Dental Attending in their residency program filled out his time there.
Dr. Cohen recently earned honors by being named Top Dentist by his peers in Philadelphia Magazine for 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Dr. Cohen focuses on the benefits of continuing education in both medicine and dentistry. He regularly attends lectures, workshops and seminars throughout the country. In 2012, he started the Spear Study Group of Philadelphia. In 2017, he achieved the Qualified Dentist Designation by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine for treating Philadelphia area patients with airway and breathing disorders that can result in snoring and sleep apnea. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Philadelphia Dental Clinics Club, of which he has been a past president and where he currently serves on the Board and as the Continuing Education Advisor.

Johanna — Office ManagerJohanna joined our team in 2016. She attended SUNY Orange and UNC Wilmington for her education and training. She began her career in dental operations and management in 2001, and she has experience in the corporate, FQHC, hospital and private practice settings. This background has allowed her to build a unique skillset and well-rounded knowledge base for patient relations, customer service and insurance reimbursement.Johanna is diligent in managing and streamlining our office systems and protocols in order to ensure that each patient visit results in a predictable and successful outcome. She works hard to ensure that each interaction meets and exceeds the patient’s expectations. She enjoys the unique partnership we achieve as a team and with our patients as we partner with them and collaborate on each aspect of their treatment, including consistent, sincere, and genuine education and communication, so that they can reach the highest level of health that they choose to strive for.
Johanna and her husband, David, have two sons, Dawson and Dylan, who both attend William Tennent High School. In 2013, David retired from the marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant. Johanna is her children’s biggest fan and can always be found cheering them on at a football field or a baseball diamond. She never misses a game!
Karen — Certified Dental Assistant Karen joined our dental family in 2003. She loves being involved with our patients’ care to guide them in their treatments and provide education. Karen is committed to helping our patients receive the care they deserve and know that they are valued when they visit our office.Karen is the proud mother of James. She loves being a mom and spending time with her son. Karen’s favorite place to get away is Ocean City, New Jersey.
